| General note | Sa Sariling Lupa: Cultural Tourism Documentaries was conceptualized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 1999 in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT), the National Historical Institute (NHI), and the National Museum (NM) for the promotion of cultural tourism in the Philippines' ten anchor destinations, namely: Rizal / Laguna, Davao, Cebu, Baguio / Banaue, Laoag / Vigan, Bohol, Palawan, Manila, Intramuros, and Panay. |

| Summary, etc. | Panay: Nature's gifts, history's wonders is one of three most recently produced Sa Sariling Lupa Cultural Tourism Documentaries, by the Nationa Commission for Culture and the Arts. This DVD features the rich cultural history of Panay as well as the lores and the legends that makes up the root, the antiquity and the soul of the four (4) provinces of the island, namely: Antique, Iloilo, Capiz and Aklan. An important fact about Panay is its abundance of natural resources that people had used and used well; not only to create the "figurative-bread" believed to be the origin of the name Pan-ay, but the very materials for craft, for art, livelihood, for faith and the greater glory of God. In each of these provinces of the island, rediscover how people had used nature's gifts to create history's wonders. |
